Inverted triangle at top of images

Hi everyone -

Using a Polaroid SLR 680,  all of the prints have a triangular area at the top center. See the example photos below.

At first, I thought it was the particular lot number if the PX600 Silver Shade, but now that the new batch has come out with the black frames and gray frames, they're doing the same thing in the camera.

Any ideas? I'm guessing that it has something to do with the rollers...

Thx!

It has to be the rollers. I got similar problems with one of my film pack. After changing cameras halfway, the problem almost disappeared.

I realized after shooting for some time, the problem is not consistent. Some film in the pack could have this issue whilst the next film in the same pack would not have it.

In any case, your best bet is to clean your rollers.

Hi Clarence,

I had looked at the rollers prior to posting my problem, and never noticed anything before, but upon a more rigorous inspection, I found a very thin "coating" on at the ends of both rollers. Using a cotton swap and alcohol,  I removed the coating and cleaned the entire length of the rollers. On my first exposures after cleaning the rollers, the inverted triangles are gone.

Thanks for the help.

Sure no worries!

Hope it is the same for the rest of your pack.
