Are Impossible going to run this again?
I have was too many batteries sitting around. If they can be re-used then I would love to send them all back. Better then just letting them go to waste.
It can't just be me.

Brendan, I agree, but the last time I spoke with Impossible, they had to discontinue the program due to potential fire hazards. If the contacts on the battery packs aren't covered with tape, and the contacts of two battery packs happen to cross, it can cause a short-curcuit.
I'd like to have a recycling program thru TIP, too. Maybe they can come up with a way to make the return process safe.
For now, I'm taking the battery packs to a local Batteries Plus store and turning them in there.
I ave a huge stack as well....
I have a friend who repairs SX-70s, and I donate mine to him. I just use gaffing tape to cover the contacts of the battery backs, and then I stack them in a small box (alternating the orientation of the battery packs.) He discounts my repairs, so it's all good.
Me too! I feel like I'm hoarding them and have way to many now. I did not know about the short circuit thing, looks like I better take care of that soon and get them dropped at a proper recycler. Remember, keep a few good ones for testing cams!
Hi all,
We have discontinued our battery return program indefinitely, for safety reasons. You may be able to find local battery recycling centers.
