I got my package from Impossible yesterday and tested the film right away with my Spectra SE and this is what came out of the entire film pack! I ordered 20 of these and I´m a bit worried the rest will produce the same result! Everything works on the Spectra, clean rollers, flash fires etc. The picture to the far lower left is even a double exposure with flash and white balance on top on each exposure.
What is wrong with my film?

It appears to me that the shutter isn't opening, or the camera's photo sensor isn't working. I doubt that this is the film itself.
I´ll try with a different Spectra that I know work perfectly and see how the pics turn out
I've had the same problem! 6 out of my 10 exposures have come out exactly the same with only 4 revealing an image. The light and temperature were similar in the 4 shots I took and the other 6 so I'm unsure as to why it's come out this way! Did you get anything resolved or any answers as to why?
Hi all,
Because the Polaroid Classic Softtone film is expired, it may sometimes produced less-than-perfect results. In the first case above, it could be an electronic or mechanical issue that is common in Spectras. To test, try an pack with a good battery. Turn the flash off, look into the lens when firing the shutter, aiming toward a bright light source so that you can see the shutter opening. Then try again while covering the light meter which is next to the red light. You should be able to see a large opening for a longer duration when you cover the light meter, as opposed to when you don't cover the light meter. This will tell you if the shutter is opening properly. Try this several times, to check for consistency. It could be an issue that requires camera repair.
In some cases, the battery may also be weak or dead, which is why the pack died after a few shots.
Please let me know what you find.
Best,
Patrick
