as you can see on Scan 112570012 and Scan 112570008 there are lines on my pictures that divide the pictures in three parts with all of them having slightly different colours but its not on ALL of my photos (see Scan 112570005). How can i prevent this from happening and make sure that the picture is all the same and not developed in 3 different ways...?
thanks in advance yall

This isn't uncommon. If you look at the chemical pod on the back of the frames, you'll notice that the chemical pod has three compartments. These compartments each contain a small amount of the developer paste, and as the frame is being ejected, the developer paste is spread across the exposed film, from bottom to top. These bands align with each of the three compartments in the chemical pod. I'm not absolutely sure what caused the differences in the banding, but I'd hazard a guess that there might be slight differences in the amount of developer paste in each of the three compartments in the pod.
Your post didn't specifically say, but were these photos taken using PX-70 Color Shade Push!? If so, you're more likely to see this happen with that film than with the current production of PX-70 film. The Push! film is considered experimental.
The bands would occasionally be visible in the Push! films, but would be move noticable in photos having a solid-color background than in photos that have a lot of different colors and details (as in your 112570005).
In short, you'll get more consistent results using the new PX-70 Color Shade film, but it could still happen. This even happened in Polaroiid-manufactured SX-70 films occasionally.

I'm having similar issues with the PX 600 Silver Shade filem on a One600.
See here: http://support.the-impossible-project.com/requests/26941
Out of the first pack of film.. only 2 photos have come out with NO stripes on them.. 6 with stripes.
This doesn't make me happy with my purchase so far! If it's something specific with my camera.. cool i'll fix it.
But hopefully this isn't a manufacturing problem with the block of film I just bought!!!
i have the same problem with PX600 silver shade. im using 600 camera. One pack of film normally just have two film don have stripes on them.
The "banding" is not uncommon, but the examples that you posted, TWS, seem pretty extreme to me. In my experience, I think that it's it is more prevalent for monochrome films than color films. In an earlier reply here, I posted an explanation why this may happen. My recommendation is to open a service request at http://support.the-impossible-project.com/requests/new and send it to Impossible. They will certainly want to know what's happening. Be sure to indicate when and where you bought the film and include the telve-digit number above the chemical pod on the back of the frame. The first four digits represent the month and year of production, and the remaining eight digits represent the production batch number.
Thx for your reply TOM
FYI, just today Impossible's Frank Love posted in the blog about the "banding" issue:
http://blog.the-impossible-project.com/dr-love-s-diagnosis-vertical-stripes
I read the Frank Love post and it offers no real solution to the problem. I purchase and use a lot of the PX Silver Shade Black Frame and the PZ Silver Shade Black Frame and this banding has become a real issue for me. The problem is showing up in more and more of the images. I use four different cameras including two 600 models and two Spectras. I also have a custom Polaroid camera with a back that allows use of the PX 600. All of the cameras rollers are clean. The film is stored in the fridge or I have tried it immediately on arrival from Impossible Project. I use it in an air conditioned studio. I cover the images. I've even tried shooting in my studio with all of the lights off and only firing the strobe, hiding the image for four minutes and then turning lights back on. Pretty extreme but the problem persists.
I emailed Impossible Support about the line problem I have been having. I got a very complete reply that was reassuring that they're working on it. I learned the people who are attached to The Impossible Project use the film and test it as well so they are aware of the issues we as consumers experience. I should have noted in my previous post that the clients and models I work with really like the results I get with the film.
I have also been having this problem with PX600 SilverShade Black Frame with 2 cameras (SX-70 Model 2 and a Sun 660) Clean rollers on both. With the SX-70 I'm also sometimes getting a Horizontal band, the edge of which is right where the camera's exit slot is when the picture is ejected , before you pull the pic out of the camera. I'm using the Impossible PX shade in this camera, which has been electronically modified to use the 600 film.
I've had the problem with 2 packs of film, both dated 02/11. I think I'll try some Spectra in my Minolta InstantPro next & see how that works... :-)
